- Benzyl alcohol preservative allows safe multi-dose use
- Sterile filtered to 0.22 µm — research-grade purity
- Compatible with all Zenterex peptide products
Overview
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is specifically formulated for use as a diluent when reconstituting lyophilised compounds for research purposes. The benzyl alcohol content inhibits the growth of bacteria, making it safe for use with multi-dose vials over an extended period — a significant advantage over plain sterile water, which must be used immediately after opening.
Research Applications
Peptide Reconstitution
Bacteriostatic water is the standard diluent for lyophilised peptides. The benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits microbial growth, allowing multi-dose vials to remain stable for up to 28 days once opened.
Research Stability
Unlike sterile water for injection, the bacteriostatic formulation prevents degradation caused by bacterial contamination during repeated access — critical for maintaining sample integrity across extended experiments.
Compatibility
Compatible with all peptides sold by Zenterex, including BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, Semax, Selank, and CJC-1295. Always verify peptide-specific reconstitution volumes before preparing a solution.
Reconstitution Guide
Allow the lyophilised peptide vial to reach room temperature before opening.
Draw the required volume of bacteriostatic water into a sterile syringe.
Insert the needle into the peptide vial and inject the water slowly down the side of the glass — do not inject directly onto the powder.
Gently swirl (do not shake) until fully dissolved. The solution should be clear.
Store reconstituted peptide at 2–8 °C and use within 28 days.
Research Purposes Only — This product is sold strictly for in vitro research and laboratory use. Not intended for human or veterinary administration. Always follow proper laboratory safety procedures.
Quick Facts
