How Long Does BPC-157 Take to Work?

A realistic week-by-week timeline for BPC-157, what people notice first, and what it means if nothing has happened by week three.

Most people notice something in week two or three, and it builds from there.

Here is the week-by-week.

The timeline

WhenWhat people report
Days 1 to 7The groundwork. New blood supply begins forming.
Week 2The first change. Background ache drops.
Weeks 3 to 4Clearer. The injury stops flaring every time you load it.
Weeks 4 to 6The bulk of the improvement for a fresh problem.
Weeks 8 to 12Where chronic, years-old problems tend to shift.

Why it is not instant

BPC-157 does not block pain. It is not a painkiller, and if you are expecting something that works like one you will conclude it failed.

What it does is grow new blood vessels into damaged tissue. That is construction work, and construction takes time. New capillaries take days to form and longer to become useful.

So the change arrives as the absence of a problem rather than a sensation. People rarely say "I felt it kick in". They say "I noticed I had stopped thinking about my elbow".

What changes first

In rough order:

  1. 1.Background ache — the dull constant one, not the sharp movement one.
  2. 2.Flare-ups — the injury stops complaining every time you load it.
  3. 3.Range of movement — usually a few weeks in.
  4. 4.Actual strength under load — last, and the slowest.

For gut use the pattern is different and often faster. People report changes inside the first week to ten days, probably because the peptide reaches the tissue directly rather than having to build a blood supply first.

What affects the speed

How old the injury is. A six-week-old strain moves faster than a six-year-old one. Chronic problems need 8 to 12 weeks, not 4.

**Where you inject.** As close to the problem as is practical. Systemic dosing works, but local is reported as faster for a specific injury. If you cannot inject near it, TB-500 is the better choice, since it travels.

Whether you keep re-injuring it. The most common reason people see nothing. If you return to full training in week two, you are undoing the work as fast as it happens.

Dose. 250 to 500 mcg daily is where nearly everyone lands. Going higher does not obviously speed it up. Going much lower is where "it did nothing" reports tend to come from.

Getting the most from it

Check these before writing it off.

**Is the vial real?** Purity is invisible. A vial of nothing looks exactly like a vial of BPC-157. Check the batch certificate and verify the code on the issuing lab's own site. Our guide to spotting fakes covers what to look for.

**Did you reconstitute it correctly?** Getting the maths wrong by a factor of ten is easy and common. Our calculator does it for you.

Was it stored properly? Once mixed it needs to be cold and dark. Left on a warm shelf, it degrades.

Is it the right compound for the problem? BPC-157 is strongest on tendon, ligament and gut. It is not a general painkiller and it does not do much for nerve pain.

How long do people run it?

4 to 6 weeks for something new. 8 to 12 weeks for something chronic.

Most people then stop. The reported pattern is that the improvement holds, because the tissue changed rather than the symptom being covered up.
