The Best Peptides for Focus, Mood and Sleep
Semax, Selank and DSIP compared. Which is for focus, which is for calm, which is for sleep, and what the Russian research behind them actually says.
Three compounds, three different jobs. Match the compound to the job and this is the fastest-acting shelf we sell.
The short answer
| If you want | Take | In one line |
|---|---|---|
| Sharper focus, drive | Semax | The stimulating one |
| Calm without dulling | Selank | The settling one |
| To fall asleep | DSIP | The sleep one |
Semax and Selank are frequently run together, morning and evening. They come as a bundle for that reason.
Semax — focus and drive
Semax is built on a piece of ACTH, a pituitary hormone, with a three-bead tail added so it survives longer.
Its research centres on BDNF, a growth factor for nerve cells. Think of BDNF as fertiliser for the connections between neurons.
What people report. Clearer thinking, better focus, more drive to start things. It is stimulating without being like caffeine. No jitter, no crash.
How it is used. Usually as a nasal spray rather than an injection, which is unusual for a peptide and makes it far more approachable for a first-timer.
Timing. Morning. Taken late it can keep you awake.
Selank — calm without the fog
Selank is Semax's sibling from the same Russian research programme. Same three-bead protective tail, completely different parent: it is built on tuftsin, a fragment from an antibody.
Its research centres on GABA, the brain's main calming system.
What people report. The edge comes off without anything being dulled. People describe still being sharp, just not wound up. That is the difference between Selank and a sedative.
Timing. Whenever the tension is. Some use it before stressful events, some in the evening.
Our comparison covers how to choose, and why they work well together.
DSIP — the sleep one
DSIP stands for delta sleep-inducing peptide. It was found in rabbit brain blood in the 1970s and named after the experiment it came out of.
Worth knowing. DSIP is one of the older compounds in this field, first described in the 1970s. It has been studied for sleep ever since.
What people report. Falling asleep faster, and deeper sleep. Reports vary more than for any other compound here, which fits the state of the research.
If sleep is the whole goal, DSIP is the one aimed squarely at it.
Running them together
The common pattern is Semax in the morning, Selank in the evening. Focus during the day, settle at night. They do not compete because they work on different systems.
Add DSIP only if sleep specifically is the problem.
Our stack guide covers doses.
What to expect
Faster than the recovery compounds. Semax is often noticed the same day. Selank within a few days.
That makes this group unusually easy to evaluate. If a week of Semax does nothing for you, it probably is not your compound.
Everything we sell is supplied for research purposes. It is not a medicine and it is not approved for medical use.
